Matt
Spenceley
Matt is a professional mountaineer
and a former officer in the Royal Marines. Over the years he has led expeditions
to some of the more remote areas of East Greenland. This has allowed him to build
up a knowledge of the area and a close relationship with the local Inuit that
we believe to be unique in the World. In the office, Matt handles our logistical
arrangements.
Jon
Russill
Jon is a geologist whose work
has allowed him to travel widely. But it is in the Arctic where he feels most
at home and he has had considerable experience in both Greenland and Spitsbergen
in all seasons. Matt and Jon have traveled together extensively with the Inuit
and also have a number of Greenland first ascents to their names. Jon is the voice
on the end of the phone and is usually the first point of call for any enquiries.
Huw
Gilbert
Huw is a professional climbing instructor
and also has a wealth of experience as a trek leader around the World including
the Himalaya, South Africa and Europe. His expeditions have taken him to unexplored
areas of Patagonia, and he has accompanied Jon on winter expeditions to Spitsbergen.

drivers and guides - these people have an innate understanding of their environment
and it is a privilege to see them move about it with such ease and skill. They
will make you very welcome. Our team based in the UK includes...
